When Alice first came to us, she was experiencing a yellow buildup along her eyebrows. Seborrheic dermatitis, she’d been told.

Along with a history of cystic acne experienced in her childhood, she was tired from spending a life fighting breakouts with various creams and was deeply in need of advice...

To help her find hope in her situation, our first job was to teach Alice that these symptoms weren’t an enemy to be attacked but a message to be read.They were simply a sign of imbalance. So we began, as we always do, with reintroducing oil to the skin by balancing the body’s sebum levels. 


We advised Alice to use the Raw Organic Jojoba Cleansing Oil first, using her fingers or a light amount on her palm to gently tap it around her eyebrows (so that the oil didn’t run into her eyes). Then to keep going; adding the Rose Mist, the Face Elixir and Sun Elixir for the rest of the face, building a living microbiome across her skin.


We spoke on a video call together and discussed this routine. At the time, Alice was completely removing the raw jojoba with another cleanser, making it squeaky clean before applying the rest of the Flow Ritual set. This is why the skin wasn’t learning how to produce sebum again. When there is no sebum, there won't be a healthy microbiome or moreover, a skin barrier. The skin was struggling to return to balance because the oil wasn’t left to do its job of communicating with her body.

After using the product as intended, Alice later went to her GP. Her doctor looked at the before and after photos (seen below) and said the thing I will not forget: Seborrheic dermatitis is usually managed with anti-fungal creams and steroids. But looking at these, what you’re doing is working. Keep doing what you’re doing.

She didn’t need any cream for her brows. Balance cleared them. But that sentence, from a doctor: it’s working, keep going. The GP’s words speak volumes. As do Alice’s:

“I had my GP appointment today. After showing the GP the photo of my yellow build up, they said it is seborrheic dermatitis. It is usually managed with anti-fungal creams and steroids. It is prone to having flare ups. However, since my skin looked okay, she recommended continuing what I'm doing and if it flares up, getting the anti-fungal cream from a GP then. I was happy about this news and her opinion. Thank you for all your wisdom and support. It is wonderful to know there are people like you in the world helping people to heal.
