A Love Letter To Self

How tenderly do you meet yourself each day? How gentle, how kind are you to yourself? How soft is your breath when you speak to the ache within?

Don't have time to read? Listen to this email.

I know you have a lot of compassion and empathy towards others, but what about you? Landed on Earth at this time and space, eager to evolve, eager to break barriers, obscurations that hide the divine light within you. Who knows how many lifetimes you have been carrying them? They must feel heavy.

Without these barriers, these obscurations, you are the source; you are the light; you are divine after all, just like Nesimi said, "The essence of God is hidden in humans".

One must be excited to break free of these chains.

What are you working to cleanse lately? Anger, pride, shame, guilt?

Great.

But tell me, love, are you walking this path gently?

After you cleanse the daily buildup of dirt, pollution, and makeup residue with Raw Organic Jojoba, I ask that you spray The Rose Hyrating Facial Mist. So that roses reach those deep pores, corners of your face that you can't reach with your hands.

Your hand massage will remove what's on the surface with our beautiful soft bamboo cloth, but also open the pores for you to do some deep cleansing.

Because those tiny pores will still have some residue of dirt in them.
Can we just let them be there?
Not really.

Bacteria will grow, and they will begin to harm your microbiome. They will invade your garden. Take over the land. Your skin microbiome is full of beneficial bacteria after all. It's a garden. If the bad bacteria start growing, they consume the good ones, and you start experiencing symptoms of skin problems.

The rose plant, when it is steam distilled like ours, is naturally antibacterial.  Antibacterial means it kills the bad bacteria and prevents them from spreading.

But the rose, oh the rose.

They do it gently, not like a beauty toner with harsh chemicals. But gently. She enters with grace. Rose plant soothes the nervous system, quietes the limbic brain, the fire that so often confuses passion for love. This plant is a personification of passion after all, but in the body, it cools heat, calms redness, and offers not the rush of infatuation—but the deep, unwavering peace you were made from.

We add the 4% Lactobacillus ferment to make it even more loving to you. You have it in your gut and on your skin microbiome.
You see, growth and evolution are what we are here for. But without gentleness, we confuse motion with healing. If you are like me, curious, passionate, a soul who cannot help but dive deep, then you know how easy it is to burn out the soil while trying to find the sun.

Fiery soul.

Be gentle to yourself.

If you are not gentle to yourself, the world will not be either. The world is a mirror, after all. She can take it, the world will say. She is tough because that is what you may be saying to yourself.

I find myself having conversations with myself.

There were a lot of times I had to be fierce. Times my own voice was the only thing keeping me above water. Hardship was needed for my soul to break free from all these barriers, obscurations to become the person I am now. I never gave up. I survived. But now, I am learning to speak to myself with love. And perhaps you are too.

Let us grow.

Let us evolve.

But let us do so with kindness.

Or you will find yourself running away from people, from your mirror. They will look scary. But because you are scaring yourself. I never want to give up being a fiery, passionate, curious human being, but what do you say that we do it gently?

I will still do my 10-hour meditations to meet the divine, but I will make sure to rest the next day, have a massage, eat delicious food, and be alone in peace.

I won't use a beauty toner but roses.

I will eat the apple harvested in peace.

I will rest without earning it.

We don’t choose roses instead of toners just because they’re pure; we choose them because they are kind. Because we are choosing, each day, to be kind to ourselves. And in doing so, we invite the world to be kind back.

I don't know about you, but I am really tired of not being kind to myself and running away from my mirror.

with all my love,
Ezgi
