Plants as living beings

I want to offer a reminder this week. We work with plants as living beings in our balms and elixirs, not as cosmetic ingredients. And as a result, the body receives them differently. The cells recognise the life of a living being.

A life well lived.
The memory.
And the body — ancient, intelligent — knows exactly what to do with that Information.
And when you apply them, your skin doesn’t just “absorb” a substance. Your body receives information.
Take a winter plant like Calendula, one of the hearts of Winter Solstice Balm, Face Elixir, and Night Balm.
Calendula grows through cold, wind, and shortening days. It doesn’t fight the season. It doesn’t resist the dark or demand the sun. It adapts. It protects its core. It softens without collapsing.
It endures rain, frost, harsh weather, and still offers its colour and medicine, not through force as in “I have to” but through acceptance in peace.
That lived experience is not lost when the plant becomes part of a balm. The human body is ancient. Older than language. Made from the same matter as soil, roots, leaves, and light.

So when you apply a balm like Winter Solstice, your body recognises something familiar. Not as poetry — but as truth.

It recognises life, rhythm. It recognises survival without struggle. It recognises a life that met harsh conditions with intelligence, not resistance. This is why our products feel different. You’re not just applying a cream. You’re meeting a living memory. And the body knows what to do with that information.
That’s why the skin softens. That’s why the nervous system settles. That’s why something deeper in you feels nourished.
Plants don’t resist life. They accept it fully. And when you work with them this way, your body remembers how to do the same.
That’s why to the body, winter doesn't feel like winter when you apply the Winter Solstice Balm daily.
It’s like having a conversation with someone who has endured the worst and still kept their heart open.
How do you feel around them? Peace. Acceptance. A sense of anything is possible. After the conversation, you return to your life inspired to do the same.

Just like after applying Winter Solstice Balm, the skin says:
I will adapt to the cold. I won’t dry out. I know how to survive.

The plants in your balms and elixirs are living beings. They are not ingredients.

with all my love,

Ezgi
