I almost want to have a conversation with Yarrow.
Tea in hand, "Tell me what you know!".
Don't have time to read?
Why?
This plant stimulates and astringes (contracts and tones) the veins. What does that mean? Imagine blood flow is very slow in one area of the skin due to cold weather or some other problem you have. Maybe old scars. You see a darkening of the skin, a pool of blood just sitting, creating enlarged veins.
This plant comes and moves the blood but also shrinks the enlarged veins. I understand the moving of the blood, but how does it know that if the vein is still enlarged, blood will create a pool again?
Yarrow has a mind and intelligence.
Mind-blowing. I find these plants and how they work mind-blowing.
The cold weather creates a hardening of the skin. Marshmallow root is a powerful emollient. It softens and breaks up hard skin tissue, which easily happens in winter. But you would think this plant only softens the skin, right?
Well, would you believe that this plant also helps with the hardening of personality, inflexibility, intolerance, and inability to feel one's emotions? Through centuries, it has been used for emotional healing: body and Soul. The marshmallow plant knows that the body and the soul are not separate. It says that I am not only here to heal the hardened skin but the soul as well.
Use Winter Solstice to heal the effects that the cold weather has on your skin. Extreme dryness, deep wrinkles, scarring, hardened, overall dull-looking skin...
Use daily at night and before you leave the house after your Flow ritual. OR, if you are not experiencing these symptoms, use it as a mask once or twice a week to give your microbiome a boost.
The rest of nature inside the Winter Solstice will be speaking soon, and we say, "I know nothing. Tell me more".
with all my love,
Ezgi
