NEW: Winter Solstice

Introducing
Winter Solstice

Organic Face Balm and Mask

"Available only in the Winter."

A powerful shield for cold weather

A remedy for extreme dryness, irritation, eczema and sensitive, allergy-prone skin. Winter Solstice significantly improves blood flow, which speeds up skin regeneration. It is great for traumatised, dry, problematic skin that is having trouble regenerating on its own. It reduces swelling and irritation and brightens patches of discoloured skin. It is both a daily face balm and a nutrient-dense face mask. The essential oil version is lightly scented with a mystical blend of Palo Santo, Myrrh, Frankincense and Vetiver.

The word "solstice" comes from the Latin word "solstitium" - a combination of the words sol (the sun) and sistere (to stand still). You, the sun, As you stand still in the coldest of storms, I, "Winter Solstice", am here to be your shield.

What is in contact with the cold the most, I asked myself. The Epidermis = the top layer of the skin. And what happens when the cold hits the Epidermis?

The Epidermis sends the message of cold directly below the Dermis. Why? You might ask? The Dermis holds blood vessels, and the blood supplies nutrients and oxygen = life to all layers of the skin. Blood also removes waste products away from the skin. That is why good blood circulation is essential for healthy skin.

As a biological creature, a living organism, the body, must survive. Blood vessels in the Dermis constrict so that your warm blood bypasses the skin to conserve your body heat so you survive in the cold.

Your own medicine = your warm blood that carries all the nutrients and oxygen that your skin needs pulls away, leaving the skin vulnerable to the environment in the cold because your survival is more important than the health of your skin.

"External support". Skin needs external support against the cold.

But hold on. There is one more thing that the cold air does. Cold air is dry. It wants moisture. You, as a biological creature, a living organism, part of the whole, give your moisture to the cold.

Yin and Yang. You help balance the whole.

When I learned that this was happening, I went outside and opened my arms to the cold air, tears in my eyes. I said take it, use whatever I have.

But I know we don't have to suffer to give unconditionally. We must adapt to the conditions of our environment so that we evolve to higher levels of consciousness and that our existence means more to the whole than just the survival of the Earth.
