Spirit:
The source that gives life to the physical
Don't have time to read?
The spirit feels. The
Spirit has desires, goals, and a mission.
How does the spirit reach its desires?
By expanding.
By becoming new.
Only the new can hold the blessings about to come to the spirit.
And What's the sign of expansion?
Well, we humans call it "fear".
And We humans have the free will to run away from expansion.
"I am in fear. It hurts. It's risky. I will stop acting. I will choose the familiar."
Luckily, plants don't have the same free will. They can't move. Take the Marshmallow plant. The Root of Marshmallow plant created such a lovely softening, almost slimy texture to the new recipe, Winter Solstice Balm, that I could not believe it. I kept playing with the percentage of plant butter, but the recipe was always lovely and softening.
In dry climates, the Marshmallow plant cancels out the dryness that the environment creates on our skin. Not only that, but I am also pleased to see that it corrects the drying effects of other herbs in the new recipe, Winter Solstice. Different plants have different intentions, after all. Not all of them are softening or moisturising.
Marshmallow plant can not run away from expansion.
As a result, look at what it is capable of doing.
It heals all of us.
What a beauty, what a mission.
Fear is nothing but a sign of expansion.
Go beyond. Feel the fear, but don't fall for the trick.
Keep expanding by taking the next fearful step.
The familiar is painful.
Now, I want to be sensitive to the strong fears we feel in different stages of our lives. The anxiety.
But you know what? The bigger the anxiety, the more significant the expansion will be.
The new person who is waiting on the other side of fear is nothing you can ever imagine.
I had no idea I was going to do this. Write and dance with plants every day! Are you kidding me? I am an engineer :). I have never written anything in my life.
So, that means my illness (MS), as painful as it was, was my chance to expand.
Was my expansion painful in those years as I was becoming a new me?
Yes, it was.
Would it be even more painful if I listened to fear?
Yes, it would.
Life would have been working at a job that I did not like, with an illness on my back.
Am I glad that I felt the fear and acted anyway, sat down in agitating fear and sometimes meditated 5 hours in one day to heal my illness, to change my life, to call in the new me?
100%
And now, every time I feel fear OR every time I see someone going through something, though, I get excited. People look at me like I am going crazy. But in my heart, I know that a newer soul is about to emerge and who knows what she is going to become?
Fear is nothing but a sign of expansion.
Get excited.
Go beyond.
Feel the fear, but don't fall for the trick.
You are about to expand.
One last note: one of you sent me a message saying how the last email helped her anxiety, and I would like to thank her for inspiring me to write this one.
With all my love,
Ezgi
